Tobias is a serif typeface with a baroque and transitional appearance. His weight stress is still diagonal like in Old-Style or Renaissance typefaces. It’s x-height is higher than usual and connection on stems is not smooth (arches are punched into stems). It stands next to his brother Teodor and sister Reckless. As Tobias originates from Baroque roots appropriate terminals are made up from drops and ears. The typeface includes numerous alternates which play with different directions of serifs. In Tobias you can find certain similarities with Times and Times New Roman (1904 William Starling Burgess, 1931–1974 Stanley Morison, Victor Lardent), Baskerville (1923 John Baskerville) and Goudy (1908 Frederic W. Goudy).
