Lester Fields Display Typeface
TTF | 16.25 KB
Lester Fields was an accountant for the large New York printing firm Gorman Brothers at the turn-of-the-century. His creative book keeping was instrumental in his ability to embezzle more that $6,000 from the company during 1914 and 1915 – that’s about $200,000 in today’s money. He was eventually caught and served 4 years in prison. Upon his release he became heavily involved with organized crime and eventually landed back behind bars 9 years later on charges of racketeering, money laundering and obstruction. This typeface is based on the letters he wrote to his family and friends while in prison.*
• This handmade typeface is only available in capital letters and numbers (no lowercase).
