Hothouse Font was designed in 2001 for The Glasgow School of Art and is still used by the university. It’s inspired by Charles R. Mackintosh’s (1868—1928) explorations of letterforms, renowned architect of The Glasgow School of Art. Based on a square the (almost entirely) mono-spaced Hothouse corresponds well with Mackintosh’s art nouveau architecture.
