About Hebden Recut Font Family
Hebden Recut is an expansion of Hebden the ‘Northern’ font. Inspired by the town Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire, the family is a mix of a hand-painted grotesque and Egyptian lettering. The uppercase is based on Victorian train station signage that can be spotted in and around the Yorkshire Dales region. The lowercase is inspired by 19th Century lettering manuals. Hebden has a nostalgic twist and is ideal for labelling, signage and memorable messages. The typeface face with its robust angles and warm circular curves recalls the style of traditional English sans-serifs like Caslon’s 2-Line Egyptian. The ‘recast’ family now spans 8 weights from Thin to Heavy and includes oblique styles for each weight. All styles now include small capitals and numerals, and an even wider range of Western, Central and Eastern European language support.
